The Chief Priest of Iyioji deity in Awkuzu on Sunday last week send the deity's last warning letter to Ifeanyi Ubah warning him of the inherent dangers of not honouring the agreement made in 2013 at the Shrine in Awkuzu in Oyi local Government Council of Anambra State. Ifeanyi Ubah in company of Agiliga Nando, Uzu Awka and two Awkuzu sons (Osondu Igwilo and Oke Alusi) were at Iyioji Shrine for :
1. Oath taking against betrayal during the election of 2013 with Agiliga Nando and Uzu Awka and their two friends.
2. For protection/Immunity against guns and machetes and any form of metal weapons.
3. For prayers so that he will win the 2013 governorship election.
The Chief Priest of Iyioji Deity did his part and the oath was taken. He also fortified Ifeanyi Ubah with incisors and amulets which he wears around his waist even till today. However, Ifeanyi Ubah's third request was invalid as the chief priest told him that he will never be Governor of Anambra State then or in future, a divination which did not go down will with Ifeanyi Ubah. Because of the last divination by the chief priest, Ifeanyi Ubah has refused to appease the gods as agreed with a live cow, two rams and some quantity of drinks and money. For the past three years, Ifeanyi Ubah has used the amulets given to him for protection against gunshot, metal and spiritual protection without appeasing the gods. This is the reason the chief priest send the final summon to Ubah last Sunday. Ebubechukwuzo has just three days to heed the summon or be cursed forever. The die is cast.
Iyioji Awkuzu is the most lethal deity in Awkuzu and it's environs. The stage is set for the biggest spiritual warfare which may supersede the Okija Shrine debacle with Senator Chris Nwabueze Ngige. Ifeanyi Ubah may decide to toe Ngige's path and ignore Iyioji and it's chief priest. However, as an indigene of Awkuzu, I will advice Chief Ubah not to toy with Iyioji because it kills when life is sweetest. Eze ebunafo from Awka and Onwa na etiliora from Omasi are just few of the victims who thought the deity is impotent but paid with their lives.
