 For Hillary Clinton more than anyone else, Donald Trump's inauguration was a bitter pill to swallow and while she flashed her pearly whites with a dazzling smile for the cameras and the cheering crowds in the Capitol, there was a moment of darkness.

A sombre Hillary was seen accompanied by her husband, former President Bill Clinton with a thunderous scowl before facing the masses.

Having won the popular vote by nearly 2.9million, Hillary lost the electoral college to Trump and had to face him today as he was sworn in as the new United States President.


Tweeting before the inauguration ceremony, Hillary wrote: "I'm here today to honor our democracy and its enduring values. I will never stop believing in our country and its future."
